My son woke up this morning with crusty and bloodshot eyes and has been complaining that his eyes bother him for the last day or two. Having been through this many times with my older stepdaughter, I knew right away we were facing pink eye. I wasn't interested in waiting hours at the doctor's office for what I knew FOR SURE was pink eye.
I bought this Walgreens store brand only because the weekly special had it priced significantly lower than the namebrand of the same remedy. It's absolutely identical. The ingredients are EXACTLY the same, the amount dispensed is EXACTLY the same, and the bottle/dropper is EXACTLY the same for a few bucks less (that I was able to spend on candy to make the patient feel better).
My son, who's three and a half, had NO problem whatsoever with the dosage -- from having gone through this so many times with my daughter, I knew the whole drill: haave the child close their eyes, drop three drops in the corner of the eyelid, ask them to open their eye, then quickly tilt in the medicine. Much less traumatic than holding them down and dropping the meds into an open eye!
The first dose brought a DRASTIC reduction in the redness and irritation. My son said his eyes felt good immediately. I dosed every time he said he was itchy or I noticed they were red again, though the symptoms remained reduced.
We're twelve hours into the remedy and his eyes are really starting to excrete the "guck," cleaning themselves out. I see little, if any, bloodshot redness, and my son says his eyes don't bother him at all.
Yay for a great and quick remedy, and double YAY for no copay at the doctor's or at the pharmacy!!!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone -- young and old -- with a suggestion to give this a try for a day or two before wasting your time and money on a trip to the doctor's.

Pros: No Side Effects, Promotes Healing
This stuff is works quickly and effectively. I love that it's homeopathic and cheaper than a prescription. We have not experienced any side effects.
