GREAT PRODUCT

Date:November 25, 2012
I have used Guaifenesin in liquid form, for years to thin mucus at the first hint of sinus pressure (One sinus infection was enough to last a lifetime). I then found the Walgreens brand in pill form which is much more convienient, and worked just as well. When they came out with Muscus Relief PE, I tried it and was amazed at the difference. Not only does it work, but the relief is apparent in a short time. People I have recommened to, are equally pleased.

To the person who posted that it didn't work as well as Mucinex-D....
They are different!
Regular strength Mucinex-D contains 600mg Guaifenesin and 60mg Pseudoephedrine and they are extended-release bi-layer tablets.
This (Mucus Relief PE) is 400mg Guaifenesin and 10mg Phenylephrine HCL, in immediate release tablets.
You shouldn't complain about it being different, and give it a 1-star rating since it IS different, and they make no claim to be the same as what you are comparing it to.
Myself, I was looking for a replacement for Sinupan, which I took as a prescription 20 years ago. It had worked well for me, and I have just now stumbled across this one. I sure hope it will work as well as Sinupan did.

not the same

Date:September 20, 2010
I know generic medicines are the exact same thing as name brand but these pills do nothing for me. I've taken mucinex D and it worked so well, but this brand is like taking nothing at all. Great price if it worked!

You are correct; they're not the same. This product has Phenylephrine HCl, hence the "PE". Mucinex D is Pseudoephrine, also a decongestant, but works better for some people. Pseudoephrine has now become a controlled substance that you have to obtain from the pharmasist. You don't need a prescription and you just show them your drivers licence that they will swipe into their system. This keeps track of how frequently you purchase pseudoephrine. A little late, but hope this helps.
