Excellent meter

Date:January 13, 2013
Pros: Accurate, Easy To Use, very discrete, Small, big display, works in variety of temperatures, far more accurate than true2go
Cons: no history
With 24 years of diabetes I have used many different meters, with changes mandated by different insurance companies. My current mandated meter is the Accu-Chek Compact which is like carrying a pound block of cheese in your pocket, similar size, but weighs 5 oz.
When I travel, go to meetings, out to dinner, to the beach, scuba diving, any where were small/discrete is needed I slip this litte 1 oz. tester in my briefcase, pants pocket, sport coat, etc. It comes with a small pouch and lancet device.
It is ACCURATE - I have tested against the various "insurance company" meters, and my doctor's lab results, and it is 99% of the time within 3 points, whether I am at 80 or 320. (Note: Walgreen's similar sized TRUE2go small meter has HUGE swings at the high end, sometimes by 90 points).
If I had a choice I would only use Sidekick and asked the inurance company to do so. It does not keep a history, but so what.
If you want an accurate, ultra small, easy to use meter - this is it.
